FAQs

  • No, these classes are designed to cater for beginners through to people who regularly exercise. Your instructor will offer different levels of progressions of exercises - you work at your level.

  • All classes offer graded progressions for the movements we take you through. If you have pain, dial it back and choose what feels appropriate for you. No pain, great - instructors will give you guidelines about if you’re ready for the next progression by usually saying “if you can do X you are ready to try the next position”. All exercises intelligently train your body to move in optimal ways - something we can all benefit from!

  • Each class has a different focus. Refer to the website ‘about page’ to find out more. We generally recommend starting with a Strength & Foundation session, so you experience the way progressions are cued and how to modify for your needs. If it’s your first time moving the body in a while the Move and Flow or Release and Reset can also be a more gentle beginning.

  • For best results, we recommend you aim for 3 sessions per week (1 of each class) to get the full experience and support. Should you wish to do more, the class structures easily allow for that without overdoing it but we would recommend you include a Release and Reset session in the mix. Should you wish to do less, we recommend you prioritise a Strength and Foundations once a week.

  • Our instructors are very select with their cues to bring you into each position. During classes, they will also be checking technique and offering adjustments where needed. You will be given additional guidance including where you should be feeling the body contract to guide your form. Feeling your body in a certain position is one of the most powerful ways for the brain to retain it!

One of our strengths is ensuring you nail your technique before progressing to the next level offered. Our body gives us signs when we are ready to go further, your instructors will tell you what you need to be able to do in order to progress.

  • No. These classes are general movements that help create strong bodies that move well. Although a lot of members do decrease their pain and niggles through attending, we do not pretend to know better than your personal therapist and what they advise for you specifically. We have a number of members who have started sessions with us towards the end of their treatment who are looking to really steer themselves away from the risk of re-injury, a lot who want to prevent injuries, and a growing number that just enjoy feeling great in their bodies.

  • No. you will be able to watch them without an account however it can be more efficient to download the Zoom application. If interested to do so, please click here.

  • We move between laying, kneeling, and upright standing positions. Our instructors will be checking your form and technique throughout sessions so if the camera can be pointed in a direction where you can be seen both on the floor and standing, that’s great. If you’re standing, as long as the instructor can see the lower body, that should suffice.

  • No. We have many people who are serial exercisers and many who are not. Some of these movements will be different to what you are used to and therefore we prefer you to come in with an open mind.
